Roy Boucher is a playwright and actor. He has been an active member of “Writing for Performance” for 8 years and he has appeared in 7 independent films. He wrote and produced the 2019 short, “Happy Birthday Art” which was shown in 12 film festivals across the U.S. It was recognized with a Bronze Award from the LA Shorts Awards and is now seen on their channel on serb.tv.

Hi-DeF welcomes its youngest solo festival performer. Thirteen year old, Greyson will be reading/performing excerpts from his novel, Souls of the Kingdoms, Book 1. The novel revolves around Jacob, who, after losing his father, tries to free the world from his father’s killer... will thejourney ever be fulfilled?

Abby Palen is a recent graduate from The University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, earning a BFA in Acting. Moving the Mountain is one person’s real life fairytale. There’s Abby, non-binary jolly human learning what it means to be human. There’s a villain, EDNA, a mountain of false truths the hero has convinced themselves to believe. And there’s a journey, a physicalized papier machè mannequin mountain to be moved every single night in front of a live audience. And life doesn’t have a happily ever after, but it does have happy.

BITTERSWEET, MEMORIES IN POETRY AND SONG
Gary Powers is a Palm Springs-based playwright, actor, singer, songwriter and comedian. A graduate of Boston's Emerson College, he studied playwriting with Circle Rep's Milan Stitt ('The Runner Stumbles') and was mentored by composer John Kander ('Cabaret'). He shares memories in ‘Bittersweet,’ capturing the often sad beauty of life with story and song.

When not working on the paper, he has been an active member of several community theatre troupes, acting, writing and directing in productions across the Morongo Basin.
Two of his plays, “The Memory Jar,” and “Unbroken Chain,” have been published by Off The Wall plays, an online company. Three of his self-published novels, “Ghosts of Ide County,” “The First Book of Exile: The Book of Albert,” and “The Second Book of Exile: The Book of Ian,” are available for purchase at lulu.com. He is hoping to publish a book of poetry, “Mary’s Confession and Other Bits,” soon.

This is the story of a woman whose successful open heart surgery leaves her with a visit from the Goddess which catapults her into becoming an Israeli citizen, singing with drag queens and giving birth to a new kind of spirituality. Leah is an actor, singer and writer who has done off Broadway and off off Broadway. She currently resides in Tel Aviv, where she is pursuing cantorial studies while singing in cabaret venues. She is developing a new kind of spirituality linked to the practice of her tantric voice lessons.
