Miri Hunter, Ph.D.is the Producing and Artistic Director of the Hi Desert’s Thought Theatre Company and an original Founder and Producer of the Hi Desert Fringe Festival now known as the Desert Fringe Theatre and Arts Festival. She has been seen in national commercials as well as several independent films. She has a Masters Degree in Playwriting and Directing and a Ph.D in Humanities. Since her residency in the Hi Desert, Hunter has been seen in various theatrical productions in the Hi-Desert. She has been nominated Desert Theatre League for acting, directing, producing and writing. She is a member of the ASCAP, the Dramatist Guild, SAG-AFTRA, and Associate member of the SDC.
Other identities include being known in the Hi-Desert as the "frontman" for the band Hunter and the Wick'd. Her visual art is inspired by the high vibration of the desert and her connection to East African spiritual traditions. She is an Adjunct Teaching Professor at St. Mary's College in Moraga CA.
